Alright my loves, we're here at the end of all things. Well.. maybe not the end of ALL things, but certainly at the end of an era! We're all a little worse for wear, a bit bent and maybe even a touch broken, but by the Linden Gods, we're here!  Tonight, i know i'll be a hot drunken mess, so i am saying my Happy New Year's and " I love you's!" to everyone in advance as i like to do, because knowing me, unless i have someone keeping me up, this old lady will be passed out before the ball even touches ground, LOL.

Anyhow, on to the goodies!, i was super excited upon seeing this dress on the Fifty Linden Friday list, as it was perfect and just in time for Celebrations, and just the right amount of glam, THEN i happened to check back in the blogger's room at Fake Icon and found that even though they'd had a red and green version of this lovely Tinsel Boa that was part of the free Calendar, and then under the tree on the sim, there were also other colors that are included in the fatpack which you can now purchase in the mainstore, and i highly advise that you do so! Pair that up with this gorgeous ethnic skin from Egozy with the equally gorgeous name of "Lakshmi" some striking eyes, and you have a killer combo.

I couldn't forget the sparkle of course, and for that i looked to none other than E&O who makes some pretty amazing jewelry at awesome prices! this piece actually matches the dress perfectly and was just the finishing touch i needed to make the perfect New Years outfit pop. I swung by Junk Food and grabbed a glass of bubbly(i've actually never had any in RL believe it or not!) and off i went! See you in 2020 unless i post something else first... So my lovely creepies... it's almost the end of a decade... that makes me both happy and equally sad.  I remember joining Second Life all bright eyed and bushy tailed back in 2010, fascinated with everything it had to offer, and i'm still pretty fascinated with what it is as a whole. That being said, i miss the Second Life of yesteryear. You know, for any of you who were around since it's dawn til now, you recall the time when it was possible to make seemingly endless amounts of friends and acquaintances.. dance the night away, laugh, cry, screw(yes really) and pretty much anything else to your heart's content on the grid. Man i miss those times!


These days while SL has traded in those smooshy looking noob nubs for the sleekness of mesh feet., it has also lost the warm charm it once had when it comes to its residents. I don't believe that all is lost, not when i've had almost the exact same group of friends all this time i've been here. I am pleased deeply when i venture out some random place either late or super early and run into some person who is also exploring and we strike up a great and funny convo just like back in the day. If you spot me around the grid, shout hello, i won't bite i promise! I hope a little of that old grid charm returns... with a bit of that, and a few less events, i think SL would be perfect! Almost there.

Today has been a super cool, chill sort of day!. Almost New Years, and i hope you all have had a lovely holidays! My goodness it's all so exhausting and festive, but New Years somehow seems much more of a big to-do in my mind. Maybe i'm overthinking that? I haven't been to see my brother in a while since i had been feeling so sick for what seems like ages now, so i'm going to be heading out to lunch with him that day, and hopefully my boyfriend will be feeling better by that time as my poor baby caught the flu on Christmas Eve or all days!

What plans do you all have coming up? and i'm sure you all must have some resolutions because of course it's a bit of a tradition to make (and break) at least a few. I don't normally make any but if i'm totally honest, i am considering putting a few in place, and sticking to them very seriously so i have something more to be proud of, and some genuinely good goals for the coming new year.  Here's to seeing what's to come in 2020, it's the end of an era you know! - Creep Dolly

Out there somewhere...

The soul of these photographs... is my insides. i don't get to talk about it much, as i suppose it's considered "Taboo." and not to mention, i don't think anyone ever really talks about things quite like this. When i was young, i was under the impression that i was born a boy. i truly believed it, and when i went through puberty, also very young(think single digits here) i was almost horrified in a way because i almost couldn't believe that i was female. i wanted so desperately to cling to this kind of identity that i had for myself, that i felt, and somehow it also made some things make sense.

Now it made sense why my brothers would treat me differently when i wanted to play spots or video games with them.. and why i was forced to wear dresses on Easter Sunday to church, when i didn't understand why i couldn't wear my regular hand-me-downs like always because at least i'm there right? i felt lost... not to mention i was ugly. and not ugly in the low self esteem sense.. i was ugly. and not only that iw as reminded of it every day by those around me.  I had made my mind up during those times that if i had to be a girl, and i could not be a beautiful girl, then at least i would be a smart one and i would learn everything i could.. this mentality still holds true today with the learning.

i struggled with everything from self image, to sexuality, to just home life in general, and i felt alone, lost always, and nobody around me ever really seemed like they dealt with that.  I mean how often do you hear about someone who has the life of a woman, but feels genuinely male more than half of the time or like neither from their own perspective? i won't go totally into it here because there's just so much and i don't want to depress or overwhelm anyone but wow i'm sort of tired of being silent about so many things.

When i found Second Life, honestly it was by total accident. lol. i know that isn't quite the " oh i was in a terrible place, and it rescued me" story that many have but to be frank and honest, it was accidental. i was looking for free online games like one i frequently played and it just kept coming up in the search and eventually after so many times i said screw it and signed up and 10 years later here i am! That being said.. when i joined, i thought it would be silly.. and what it became, was that age old story that others say, where it saved my life more times than i can count because i promise, without it,  it, or more so those in it, i would have died some years back. i found i could let out that lost boy i couldn't be years ago, i could let out that pain of being shut up and shut out, and alienated in that way. not to say it does not happen here. but my gosh, does it feel good to sometimes just change and be what i wanted to be at any stage in my life, and just live in that moment for a minute and have people just be like " that's cool, i dig that." and just let me be me. that's the real soul of SL i think, that's the bones, and that's why i love it and continue to come back, even if i sometimes need a break.  this got a bit deep but i hope even one person can get where i'm coming from.. or perhaps relate. i hope you all enjoy this post, and maybe this read. Finding your Christmas Spirit, and turning your frown upside down...

This photo is actually dedicated to my true dislike of Christmas. Who could possibly hate Christmas you ask? well me, but for good reason at least i think. My grandmother raised me, and she was always sort of the center of me and my siblings lives, and we would sort of go out of our way to get her things after a certain point, because it wasn't ever really so much about what we got. we just really liked watching her open her gifts.  She passed away pretty tragically back in 2006, and ever since, when this time of year rolls around, i just don't want to really participate, because it just really isn't the same. i know it's a bit much and of course it's been long enough to have gotten over it( i have) but i just haven't really found anything that gives me that warm feeling i used to have like that did. so i still hate Christmas, sadly.


This little mime, had lost her Christmas spirit as well, and couldn't seem to find a way to fill her heart at all with any joy whatsoever... In her hand fell a wee snowflake, and she marveled at the beauty of it, the intricate ice crystals, simplicity and wonder of something so small and yet it could be so amazing. it began to glow and become even more beautiful and as it did she began to think about the little things, and decided those would be the things that brought her cheer. the sad mime's frown was now turned upside down, and she did indeed find her joy after all!.. Do you think perhaps if i am very lucky, i will find mine as well?  Happy Holidays nonetheless, and i hope you all like the pic!, run on over to Anthem and grab those gifties under the tree, they're at a lovely price!

Let's ramble a bit shall we!?
This one was fun! it's been a while since i got to really play with artsy things like this and Moonshine always brings me something lovely to play with of course! This makeup comes to us from a gacha set with the charming moniker of " La vie en France" and all of the individual styles contained inside are absolutely striking and to die for i must say. Of course Michan always has THE most fabulous lashes(they're my fave on the grid!) and Egozy, with this amazing skin that i've fallen madly for.  i was craving to do something different and very "me." Not to say all of my other posts aren't very very me. they most certainly are. but art is the very heart of me, and i wanted to just be free and do whatever came to mind and this one was an homage to the sprouting of new ideas and concepts and blooming with possibility in whatever way that comes.

I've been struggling for a bit with finding a resting place for my own certain style and so i bounce around a LOT and just lately, on the very very good advice of someone very wise and lovely. i have taken some time to really pay much more attention to detail and see what it is that makes my photos and posts synonymous with myself when someone looks at them. Now i've got quite a long way to go, but i finally feel like i'm on the right track with something and am no longer just sort of tossing things out madly and feeling lost. This is progress!     So i don't know if there's any of you who have kept track of my nonsense here from the beginning. .. but if there Are then you know that i sometimes used to write stuff! I stopped doing it for a few reasons. Everything from, i didn't think anyone was really interested in my little stories, and musings, as well as ravings about the things i blogged. and i often really love to leave little explanations about the looks i put together. I don't know if you know it dear readers, but each and every single photo has a sort of story, a vision, and a vibe behind it. I think i prefer having a bit of "Method to the madness"versus it just being sort of a mindless churning out of pretty photos just because i need to fill the bloggy quota. This look here, is inspired by the spirit of my 20s,those sort of "Riot Grrls" i always used to love and admire and of course still do.


You know, the Joan Jetts, and the Veruca Salts that i grew up gushing about and singing along to, and watched grow into grown up bad ass milfs. Not only did these ladies grow into some stone cold foxes, but they stayed "punk as fuck" if you'll pardon my french and i absolutely admire all others who manage to also stay true to themselves. Here's to anyone who likes to merge styles, and make it look good.
